Greetings,
It is my understanding that Vincent Marcellas Martin is a grandson of Jacob Martin and Mable Bright. It also seems to be a recurring assumption, amongst my cousins, that Jacob Martin is quite possibly my 5x-g-grandfather. However, I have yet to be able to prove that connection conclusively.
It is my hope that I may find a living, male descendant of Vincent/James/Jacob who may have DNA on record, or would be willing to submit to DNA testing.
I have my 64-marker DNA test on file at www.ftdna.com. This test has proven connections to John Swayne/Swain Martin and it is believed that John may be a son and brother to Jacob and James.
I would welcome the opportunity to compare my DNA and exchange information with a matching candidate.
