Lydia Louise FISHEL was born 26 Mar 1858 near Hope, Bartholomew County, Indiana. She died 26 Dec 1945 at Mt. Carmel, Wabash County, Illinois. She married Abraham (Abe) STRUBLE, who was born Jan 1850 in Ohio and died 30 Dec 1918 at ?? I do not know who ABE was the son of. They married 20 Dec 1876 at Richland County, Illinois. In 1900 Lydia said she was the mother of 12, eight living. In 1910 Lydia said she was the mother of 14, ten living.

Lydia was the seventh of nine children of William FISHEL (b. 1821 in Forsyth Co., NC and died 1879 at Olney, Richland Co., IL) and Regina VOGLER (b. 1821 in Forsyth Co., NC and d. 1888 at Olney, Richland Co., IL). William and Regina were married 08 Apr 1844 at Forsyth Co., NC. When they were born and married Forsyth County was not yet in creation and it was listed as Stokes County.

William and Regina are buried at the Haven Hill Cemetery, at Olney, Richland County, Illinois. The family moved from NC to Bartholomew County, Indiana between 1850 and 1860. They moved to Richland County, Illinois in 1868.

William FISHEL was the son of Johann Philip FISHEL (1782-1850) and
Rachel Elizabeth MILLER (1783-1855), both of whom spent their lives in North Carolina and are buried at the Friedberg Moravian Cemetery, at Friedberg, Forsyth County, North Carolina.

I have tons more on the family. Are you a STRUBLE descendant? Dan Stevenson
