Gary .... thanks for the reply and info. Doesn't look like there is a match? Melinda Adelina CANADA HAYS b.1848 Mo. married Hannibal HAYS in Franklin Co Illinois and had 2 children before Hannibal "disappeared". Her family claimed that Hannibal was dead so that she could remarry to Andrew McDONALD in 1879. None can be found in Randolph County Illinois as per the 1880 census ... I think that they are in Madison County, Missouri?? Melinda died in 1889 and is buried in Fredrickstown, Madison Co., Missouri.... I think as a widow?? I wasn't at all sure about the remarriage story until I finally found the marriage record .... I would just like to tie up some loose ends about Andrew McDONALD. How old was he ... when did he die ... and was he married before???
