I am looking for information about anything and any SMITH family that may be related to my 2nd-great-grandfather George W. SMITH who was born c. 1812 in Pennsylvania and lived in Pike County ( Pittsfield ) from 1845-1849. He assisted with the Pike County Sentinel. The below is a brief outline of some of what we know:
1812-1843 APPROXIMATELY (BORN IN PENNSYLVANIA)
1844 - FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS (MARRIED 19 SEPTEMBER 1844)
1845-1849 - PIKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS (PITTSFIELD, ILLINOIS)
1849-1850 - CASS COUNTY, ILLIOIS (BEARDSTOWN, ILLINOIS)
1851-1857 - McDONOUGH COUNTY, ILLINOIS (McCOMB, ILLINOIS)
1857-1858 - McDONOUGH COUNTY, ILLINOIS (BLANDINSVILLE, IL)
1858-1861 - PIKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS (BARRY, ILLINOIS)
I would love to connect with any SMITH or JEWELL kin.
Thanks,
Eddy A. Flick
