In Chapter 120 (p. 356)of Jess M. Thonpson's Pike County History he mentions an Ellen Cheney when he is referring to the John Johnson family. Humphrey Johnson, coming with his parents in 1630, married Ellen Cheney at Roxbury. MA in 1642. She was born in England about 1626. She died in 1876. True to Thompson's form, no source is given for this info.In Chapman's history of Pike County, page 631 there are 2 paragraphs on a Solomon G. Cheney and a Joseph E. Cheney. The entry is too long for posting here so if you'll send me either your email or snail mail address I'll send the print out on to you.
