Melinda: I have all the children of Jane Bell, but only surmised she might be an ORR. The oldest child, John J. Bell, was not at home in the 1850 cesus, and was born 1830 in Cadiz, Harrison County, OHio,. He migrated to Oregon.

I had a feeling that his father might be Samuel Bell as there is one there in Cadiz 1840 but not 1850. Jane was in Pike Co. in 1850 with no husband and all children except John who had left home by then.

Do you have a death certificate for Margaret, or her brother, Alpha which might give their parents names?

I have letters writen in 1884 to and from John J. Bell in Oregon and Amos Jefferson Reeder in Pike Co. regarding Jane's property. John died in Oregon in Aug. 1885.

Would like to chat further with you. You can e-mail me direct at
