Hi Peg,
Sorry it took me so long to answer your post I haven't looked at this part of Genforum in a while. Yes Thomas J. Tittsworth was one of several sons of Franklin Tittsworth, the only son of my Jesse Tittsworth. Do you have additional info on this Family?? Am trying to determine who Jesse's parents were.
According to Pike Co. cemetary records he was born in 1795 and the census records for Pike Co. show he was born in Tenn. The earliest I found him there was in 1820 He was on a Power-of-attorney record. Then in 1824 he was a chain bearer on a land survey record for a Thomas Titsworth. I have wondered for years if this was his father??
There were 4 different Thomas A. Titsworth's in Sullivan Co. Tn

Thomas 1731-1818
Thomas 1763-1853 (Jesse's Dad??)
Thomas 1801-1850
Thomas 1824-???

Would love to swap info with you if you know anything on Jesse's family

Sarah
