I dont know any thing back that far about the Thornton family, but we have a Fred Thornton married Martha E.Coop in Keokuk,Ia in 1912.He was the son of John who was born in England.John married Eliza Bland c1885 in Henderson Co,Ill.We didn't know where his family came from other than Ill.Possibly Pike Co??( Eliza was married before to Isaac Briley and had son Henry. Her 1st marr. was to a Burns. Son William.)It has been told that John went back to England when Fred was 12.Does any of this click in your line? Just a shot in the dark!!!
