I am seeking any info about my gggrandmother
Margaret Shortle Reynolds, b. 10 March 1808 in Friendship, Anne Arundel co. MD., married Wiley Jones Patrick 22 January 1829 in Baltimore, MD.
They moved to Ralls co. Missouri in ca. 1830. Wiley Jones Patrick died in March of 1850 and is buried in Kinderhook, Pike Co., IL.
Margaret remarried about 1852 to William Graham, and died 6 March 1862 in Ralls co., MO
Her tombstone in Mo indicates that she was the daughter of "Captain" Reynolds. However, I have found no first names of her parents, or mention of her siblings.
Does anyone have any ideas about who Captain Reynolds would be. Why would someone put that on a tombstone without a first name unless it was a first name or a WELL-KNOWN captain. I am open for any suggestions.
