David S. Traylor was born in 1833 or 34. He was married to Julia A. Potts and had a family. he was with the family in the 1860 Census in Montgomery county,IL. louisa Alice was born in 1861. He was not there in the 1870 census and died in Montgomery Co.on Jam. 25, 1884. Does anyone know where he was and why? I can't seem to find any info connected him with the civil war. Julia was my gr. grandmother,David was my gt. grandfather. their daughter,
louisa Alice Traylor [ Shields, first mattiage in 1878]married my grandfather, Davis Arthur Vernon on May 20,1882, Louisa died in Pittsburg, KS and Julia went to Pittaburg to care for the children. Arthur Davis died in 1903,keaving JULIA with his family. She died in 1912 and is buried next to louisa in Pittsburg. don't know where David S. was for about 20 years.I never knew any of My dad's relatives. Nrver even saw a picture.
