Trying to locate information on family of George Reis/Rice. He was born 1844 in Monroe County, IL. Apparently his father may have died while George was very young as by age of 8 he was living with a Samuel Hill family in Freeburg, IL in St. Clair County, IL. He had a sister named Elizabeth born about 1835. I have not been able to locate either one of these on the 1850 census. Both should be there since both were born in IL.
