My Maternal Grand Mother, Mary Ellen Doyle, was born in O'Fallon, Ill. in 1883. Her mother, Catherine Elizabeth Morrissy was born in Jersey City, New Jersey in 1856. "Lizzy"s parents, Tom & Ann were born in Ireland. In the 1860 Federal Census they are found in Quincy, Adams Co., Illinois, which is north of O'Fallon. Any way sometime between 1860 & 1881 "Lizzy" Morrissy met my Great Grand Father a Patrick Doyle who was born in either Alabama as a relatives Federal Census says. OR as the oral tradition has it, in Ireland, possibly County Clare, and set sail from the port of Cork. ANYONE that can help me will have my ETERNAL & NEVER ENDING GRATITUDE !!!!!
