I spoke with my mother and she was able to find a letter from Marei (my mother was trying to read the signature)Montgomery. She is one of Amelia's sisters. Mom said that her aunts called her Aunt Mary. Apparently Winnifred was writing her asking where her grandparents were born. This letter is dated 1934. John Hensler was born in Wertenberg,Germany 4/23/1830 or 1831, he died 11/16/1916. Emma Kaesmam (could be a fancy "n" at the end)was born in Ash, Germany 4/3/1838, she died 3/11/1902. there was also mention of Gertrude Engel, her cousin, who was the daughter of George Knoettner. she also mentioned an Aunt Liz, whom my mother said her aunts always spoke quite highly of. "she was very important to them."
