Many of the settlers of Lisbon, Kendall, IL and serrounding towns of Morris and Big Grove are related or connected. Many of these originated in Lewis co. NY, and Oneida co. NY, and ties to Lancaster, MA and Middletown, CT. See Source Historical encyclopedia of Illinois and History of Kendall county pge 657 for Henry, Frank and Sam Moore. One of the Bradford family marries Moore. Also descendants of Simeon Chandler reside in Lisbon area, which are in laws to Almira Bradford Chandler whose brother's Joseph and Alvah live in Lisbon. Almira's relatives are Chandler, McEwen, Bushnell. Other related surnames are Thayer, Ward, Sayer, Parmelee, Miller, Griswold, Tuttle.
