Thanks so much for suggestions. Had trouble answering due to snow and the power outages.
I have used LDS records - never found John Kidd in Grantee index. May have to try again. In estate packets, found where his land was being sold, but for somereason the whold deal fell through because something wasn't provided to the Court. Perhaps proper documentation.
Since I live in VA, it's not possible to get to Fulton County, but guess I'll try all the options there are and hope that something will give a time frame for their arrival in Illinois.
