Hello! (I've written the following directly to you, as well.)
Christina was my third cousin, once removed. I've been doing a general survey of people related to me who came to America from Alfta Parish in Helsingland (Gavleborg), Sweden. I have extensive records on this family. Our common ancestors were Olof Nilsson Grip, born 10 Jun 1755 in Runemo in Alfta Parish; and his wife Sara Pehrsdotter, born 11 Aug 1762 in Norrby, Alfta. My family is descended from their daughter, Christina Olsdotter Grip, born 11 Oct 1791. Your family is from Christina's brother, Per Olssons Stolt, born 5 Jan 1802 at Norrby 11 (farm number 11) in Alfta.
I wrote an article that's online about my search for Jonas and Christina. It was published first in "The Zephyr," of Galesburg, Illinois. The newspaper version also has a photo of Jonas and Christina Westberg, along with three of their children. It does not appear in the online version, but I still have that photo. The article is called "'Lost' Swedish family found in Galesburg," and subtitled, "A story of problem names." I only found them in the censuses - finally - but it was quite a journey, since Jonas had totally changed his surname.
I'd really like to hear from you again. I have much to share, and would like to know what happened to their family. I have more photos, as well. They were sent to relatives in Sweden by the family in America.
