I am looking for the family of Richard John Reynolds Sr, He was born about 1870 in Chicago. He married Cora Ann Drew (1872-1957). According to Cora's history RJ was part of a Chicago Meat Packing family. Their Children were Edward (died bef 1957), Caleb (died after 1957), Forrestien (d 1973), Richard (d 1925). Their daughter Forrestien married Herbert Bell Crow. Their children were Edward and Robert. Edward (d aft 1957) and Robert (1921-1979). I don't know if Edward married. Robert never married - he taught at Deerfield Academy. RJ Sr. was stationed in Texas in 1913 and died in 1915. According to Cora's obit she was survived by five grandchildren (1957). I am related to Cora's elder brother, Edward Landers Drew. The following is from Herbert's obit. Herbert Bell Crow, 47, executive vice president of the Bauer & Black Drug company, and a member of a pioneer Chicago family died yesterday in Wesley Memorial hospital. His family settled in Chicago prior to the city’s incorporation and his great-grandfather, Augustus Garrett, was twice mayor of Chicago and founder of the Garrett Biblical Institute in Evanston. Mr. Crow was a lieutenant colonel in the state militia, and was a World War I. veteran. He is survived by his widow. Forrestien, and a son, Robert, of the Del Prado hotel. Services will be held at 4 pm Wednesday in the chapel at 4227 Cottage Grove Av. Thank you Becky Drew gedrew@theriver.com Notify Administrator about this message?
