I am having trouble finding information on several of my ancestors in Alton: Bridget Moore, (b. County Louth, Ireland abt. 1829), her first husband James Coyne (b. abt 1828 in Ireland), and her second husband Patrick Brennan (b. abt. 1828 in Ireland, disappears abt. 1863). Bridget Moore married James Coyne in Alton, Illinois in 1853 and I have ordered their marriage certificate. I found James Coyne in the 1858 Alton City Directory as a Steam Engineer. Bridget and James had two sons: Christopher Coyne, b. 1854; and Joseph William Coyne, b. 1856. I can find no death record for James Coyne, but Bridget supposedly married Patrick Brennan abt 1860. Patrick and Bridget had two sons born in Alton: William Brennan in 1861; and Charles in 1863. Patrick Brennan totally disappears in 1863, and I can find no records of him at all. Bridget and her sons then removed to Port Byron, Illinois, and I have plenty of records on them from 1870 onwards. I can find none of these people in Alton in 1860. I can not find any birth records or death records. Any suggstions or help would be appreciated.
