Kell family of Du Quoin, Perry, 1865 - present

My ggg grandparents, George and Ann Kell and at least 3 of their children, William, Thomas and Mary Ann, settled in Perry County in the 1860's, coming from Durham, England. They arrived in New York on 14 September, 1864. The 1870 census indicates that George and his sons were coal miners but the 1880 census shows George as a farmer in Du Quoin. Thomas and Mary Ann married into the Scottish Watson family who arrived at Du Quoin in the early 1870's. Later censuses illustrate the growing Kell/Watson family in the Du Quoin area. I should very much welcome communication with descendants/ friends of the pioneering Kells and/or Watsons
