Received from Zack W Taylor of Oklahoma County, OT, the sum of Two Hundred Dollars and no cents being in full for the

Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section No (17) Seventeen, in Township No Eleven (11) North of Range No Three (3) West,

containing One Hundred Sixty Acres (160) at $1.25 per acre, 90 cts testimony fee for 600 words at 15 cts per 100.

Certificate No 467

Whereas, Zach W Taylor of Oklahoma County, Oklahoma Territory ha_ deposited in the General Land Office of the United States a Certificate of the Register of the Land Office at Oklahoma, Oklahoma Territory whereby it appears that full payment has been made by the said Zach W Taylor according to the provisions of the Act of Congress of the 24th day of April 1820, entitled, "An Act making further provision for the sale of the Public Lands," and the acts supplemental thereto for

The South East Quarter of Section Seventeen in Township Eleven North of range Three West of Indian Meridian, in Oklahoma Territory containing One Hundred and Sixty acres,

according to the official plat of the survey of the said lands, returned to the General Land Office by the Surveyor General, which said tract has been purchased by the said Zach W Taylor.

Now Know Ye, That the United States of America, in consideration of the premises, and in conformity with the Several Acts of Congress in such case made and provided, Have Given and Granted, and by these presents Do Give and Grant, unto the said Zach W Taylor and to his heirs, the said tract above described; To Have and To Hold the same, together with all the rights, privileges, immunities and appurtenances, of whatsoever nature, thereunto belonging, unto the said Zach W Taylor and to his heirs and assigns forever.

In Testimony Whereof, I, Benjamin Harrison, President of the United States of America, have caused these letters to be made patent and the seal of the General Land Office to be hereunto affixed.

Given under my hand, at the City of Washington, the first day of August, in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety Two and of the Independence of the United States the one hundred and seventeenth.

In consideration of the sum of Thirty Four Hundred ($3400.00) and --/100 Dollars, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do by these presents Grant, Bargain, Sell and Convey, all of the following described real estate, situated in the County of Oklahoma and Territory of Oklahoma, to wit:

The South East uarter of Section Number Seventeen (17), Township Number Eleven (11) North of Range Three (3) West of the Indian Meridian,

To have and to Hold the same . . .

Territory of Oklahoma, County of Oklahoma, ss:
Before me, R H Mansur, a Register of Deeds in and for the above-named County and Teritory, on this 15th day of March 1892, personally appeared Zach W Taylor, and to me known to be a single man and executed the above conveyance of land, to me known to be the homestead of the grantor and he for himself acknowledged the execution thereof to be his free and voluntary act for the purposes named. . . .

This may be the same Zach Taylor, single, and a lawyer, who appears on the 1880 Iowa, Marshall Co census and the 1870 Colorado Territory census

If someone can show relationship to Mr Taylor, they may have my copy of the abstract pages concerning his homestead.
