Hi Lars, I found a Richard & Astrid BOWMAN in the 34th ward of Chicago on the 1930 census. Every thing fits regarding the couple except there is a Werner Ring 52 and Henry Ring 24 living in the household enumerated as father-in-law and brother-in-law to Richard. There is also a Gunar Johnson 24 listed as a roomer He & Richard may have come over together (1928) I can send you the census image if you e-mail me direct. Dick
