Hi, Norma ! I found your ancestors, Samuel and Anne Wilbore, who went to Boston, in my "Planters of the Commonwealth", a list of ships and their passengers covering thru 1640. Your people went to Boston, the Kimballs went to Ipswich and points north so I don't think our families were neighbors after all...darn ! Kimball ancestors from the Winthrop Fleet who did go to Boston were Thomas French of Assington, Suffolk, Thomas Howlett from Suffolk, Eng to Boston, Henry Kingbury, of Groton, Suffolk, Eng to Boston, and John and Margaret Warren of Nayland, Suffolk to Watertown, near Boston. Do any of those names appear in your family tree?
You are much younger than I am and I so wish my kids had the enthusiasm that you have !! I'm 83 and have been chasing the Kimball family since I married in 1946...the oldest of my three boys is 59...none of them live near me, hubby died in 1999 so Genealogy has become even more important in my life...now it is my baby !!
But isn't it fun to find ancestors who fit into events in history....things we've read about in school like Pike's Peak and the witch mania of 1692 Salem. And especially fun to find some famous ones like you have...it surely makes those roots grow deeper. I'm sending an e-mail to Leno to see how far back he wants to go on his Schalck family, so I'll talk to you more there. We are cousins somehow, it'll take time to figure the whole thing out ! Jean
