Hi again!!!

My maiden name was "Wilbur"...but that developed from the ancestor name of "Wilbore" and other variations followed. My direct line on my Dad's side is Samuel Wilbore. http://members.aol.com/dcurtin1/gene/winthrop.htm

The Hartshorn(e)'s married into the Wilbore (Wilbur) family line. My father's family is English heritage.
My mother's side is of mainly English and then Scotish & Irish. Their surnames include: Scarlett, Markham, Carnes, & Chandler.

It's been difficult trying to find information for me, too...one must be persistent. My catalyst are my children and the info I hope to leave behind for them. I want to officially become a full-fledged member of Genealogy.com and hope the expanded service will help me further.

I was born in Norwood, MA (8-21-1959. My father was Ralph Norman Wilbur & he was born on 8-21-1917. My mother was Florence Darlene Chandler and she was born in Glenwood, IA on 7-23-1917.

I come from a large, distant & complicated family...thus I always craved a close-knit family...and I have that in my own little family but not with my siblings, etc.

My parents are passed on, now, as well as my husband's. My main regret is that my parents never got the chance to ever meet my children, as they died before that was possible. I lost my dad when I was 22 & my mother when I was 28 and 7 months pregnant with my eldest daughter, Anastasia. My youngest is Cassandra.

Genealogy is more than a hobby...it's a research into a legacy of information that I hope to compile and make available for future generations. I love history, in general...and this just makes it more special and personal.

Take care and look forward to speaking with you, soon.
