I need help with an obit for Laure/Laura E. Turner. Her name started out Elizabeth L. Shinn. She married Henry J. Turner on 11/09/1865 in Illinois. Info found in Illinois Statewide Marriage Index, 1763-1900. The last I found her was in 1870 census in Township 13 Range 3 East, county of Johnson, Post Office Shins Point (could be Shinns Point). From the court records for Moses Shinn, Laura's grandfather, a statement was made by Elizabeth Scobey who said that when Laure/a and Henry separated after the 1870 census, Henry J. took Henry C. back to Tenn with him and gave his son to Elizabeth Scobey to take care of. It was also stated in the court records that Laura had died since the separtion and the record was dated 1878. I believe she died in the same area as the 1870 census.
Any information on the obit would be greatly appreciated.
