I saw a lone William Townsend buried with a Catherine and Wm Smith family. He was the only Townsend in the cemetery, but in checking the census, he was the brother to Sarah Catherine Smith. His headstone read 1860-1928, but all census had him born 1862. The headstone for Catherine Smith read 1853-1922. She was listed as born Iowa and he was listed being born in Illinois. Her husband William H. Smith was born Illinois. They were in Arapahoe Fumas Nebraska on the 1900 census and Bridgeport, Polk, Oregon in 1910. William H and Sarah Catherine Townsend Smith had a family of at least 8 children. I hope this will be of help to someone that has been looking for this sister and brother.
