Thomas John Milton b. 1837 Morgan Co, Ill. m. about 1859 where? date? to Elmina ( ? ). 1860 census, Cooperstown, Brown Co., Ill. but, in 1864 when he volunteered to Civil War, Co H. 127th Inf. his residence was Versailles, Brown Co., Ill. The Brown County Cemetary Book says he is buried at Lavina Henry Cem., Versailles,
Brown Co., Ill. His wife Elmina ( ? ) appears with him in 1860 census, but by 1865 Illinois State Census, she is alone with 4 children. He was a plasterer by trade. By 1870 Meredosia, Morgan Co., Ill. he had a different wife Alice ( ? ) and more children. I need to know when he and Elmina ( ? ) died and where? Where is she buried? Their daughter was: Malissa Almina (Milton) b. 1860 Cooperstown, Brown Co, Ill. Her #1 marriage was to George Alonzo Mitchell, 24 Nov 1877, Peoria, Peoria Co., Ill. They are in 1880 census Peoria, Peoria Co, Ill. with his parents. He died. Then, about 1883, when? where? she married #2 Johnson David Whited, b. 1 Feb 1862, Cooperstown, Brown Co., Ill. Melissa Almina Milton, Mitchell, Whited died 10 Aug 1905 Lagrange, Cooperstown twp, Brown Co., Ill. and is buried Cooperstown Cem. (ref: her death record from coroner's office). Johnson Whited m. # 2: Luttie Carter. Johnson d. 17 Feb 1943, Rushville, Schuyler Co, Ill. and is buried Rushville Cemetary, Rushville, Schuyler Co., Ill. (He had a total of 19 children).
