Do you have your father's death certificate?
It "might" have his parents names.
A more expensive ($27.00) alternative is to order his
Social Security Application. I will have been filled out by your father and have his signature. It "should" have both his parents names (including mother's maiden name) and their place(s)of birth.
Your father was born after the 1930 census was taken, but with info on his parents they can be found with any of your aunts & uncles born before 1930. Do you know if your father had siblings?
