Dear Sue, Thank you again for all your suggestions. I did return to the Castle Garden website and found that the only other Hoffmann on board was an Anna Hoffman (single n), age 26; Catherine Hoffmann was age 24.This means she's probably not the one I'm looking for. I went to the Olive Tree website and found that between 1820-1850 at port of New Orleans, they have a record of a Catherine Frank, Catherine Hoffmann, and Catherine Hoffman. I hit the search ships button (by PicoSearch.com), but couldn't find any of them there. At least I'm getting closer, thanks to you! Sincerely, Barbara Estabrook
