Simpson HUMPHRIES mar. Cassinda KIRK 1844 KY

Looking for information of Simpson HUMPHRIES and his wife Cassinda KIRK. They were married in 1844 in Kentucky and by 1850 they had moved to Knox Co. Illinois. They settled in the same area as James Humphries, my grandfather. 1860 Simpson and family were living in Schuyler County.

Is Sinpson a brother or nephew to James Humphries? James names his last son Pery S. Humphries, who in turn named his last son Edward Simpson Humphries. Because Perry named his son Simpson it's believed that the S in Perry's name stands for Simpson.

Any help with Simpson and family will be greatly appreciated.
