My late companion, Richard Joseph Davisson, Manhattan Project Physicist, was the son of Clinton Joseph Davisson, Nobel Laureate, and the Grandson of Joseph Davisson, born 1841 in Tarlton, Pickaway County, Ohio, who spent the latter part of his life in Bloomington, IL., where he died in 1906. Our family has personal and genetic reasons to find his living descendants.
Jospeh Davisson had four children, one by his first wife, Lucretia Thomas, a daughter, Mazie Jane Davisson, grandson of amateur genealogist Michael Little also of Genealogy.com Message Boards, who hasn't anwered his e-mails, and three by his second wife, Mary B. Carlton whom he married in 1881. These Children were the aforementioned Clinton Joseph Davisson, whose descendants we know all about, Carrie L. Davisson, formerly of 209 Castle Ave in Bloomington, who married a man named L.B. Jackson, and Harry D. Davisson, who was last heard from living in St. Louis, Missouri.
