Hello again Barbara,

It may sound crazy, but I just did several wildcard searches at Ancestry.com and have discovered a "Klauchert" family in the 1870 census for Elgin.
I'm convinced this family is identical to the family of John Kleinschrodt, another brother of Michael and Phillip, but did not know until now that he has been in 1870 in Elgin, too.
John "Klauchert"/Kleinschrodt, his wife Catharina and the children John, Maggie, Michael, Henry, Chas., Mary, Wm. and Philip are listed. I knew all of them before except of Mary, born ~1864 (Michael, Henry and Chas. are most likely born in Wisconsin).
Now I'm convinced Mary Pearce is a daughter of John "Klauchert"/Kleinschrodt.
Would you be so kind to do another lookup for me for this Klauchert family in the IL 1870 census for Elgin?

Many thanks and best regards,
Juergen
