My great grandfather, 1826 to March 1892, died of Bright's Disease, in a boarding house in Springfield Ill. He was a traveling salesman (product unknown but his brothers owned a buggy whip company, back in Westfield Mass) and occasional reporter for the Westfield Standard. He died there by chance. The 25 years, since he left Boulder Colorado, are a BIG Blank. Any information?
He came to the Calif. Gold Rush in 1852, then to Wash. Terr, until about 1857, then to Indianola Texas, where my grandfather, David Henry Moseley, was born on 12/25/58, then to St. Joseph Mo. where he joined the 5th Iowa Cavalry until discharged, for injured spine, in May 1862. Then to Boulder Colorado, until 1868.
Any ideas about the 25 blank years or in Illinois?
Thanks. Steve Moseley of La Jolla Calif.
