John Irvan Tant, born 1873 in Kentucky; died Aft. 1945 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri. He was the son of Levi Tant and Parthenia Isabelle Bateman. He has one sister, Christina Etta Tant (1871-1961) who married Isaac VANCRIDER 15 Sep 1889. Other names for John are John Ervan, John Isham, or John Taul. In 1880, John Isham Tant was living with his grandmother, Ruthy Bateman, in Crittenden County, Kentucky. He has been to Arkansas.He married Sarah Elizabeth Griffith 11 Jan 1900 in Jackson County, Illinois.
Sarah Elizabeth GRIFFITH (aka Sadie), born Abt. 1873 in Illinois, United States of America; died Aft. 1945 in the home of Minerva Smith, Springfield, Sangamon County, Illinois, United States of America. She was the daughter of Mr. Griffith. She married (1) Albert E. EVANS 06 Nov 1897 in Bond County, Illinois. They had one son, Charles Evans.

5. Dorothy S. Tant, born 28 Mar 1910 in Kennett, Dunklin County, Missouri; died 24 Jan 1991 in Pinckney, Macomb County, Michigan; married (1) George NEWELL; born in Fife Lake, Grand Traverse County, Michigan; married (2) Vern RISDON; born 1914; died 1974; married (3) John PLASHA; born Abt. 1912; died 1977.
6. Hazel Juanita Tant, born 29 Aug 1914 in Campbell, Dunklin County, Missouri; died 14 Jun 1967 in Flint, Genesee County, Michigan; married Opal Fay GEORGE 02 Jun 1934 in Flint, Genesee County, Michigan.
