I hope this isn't to much but here goes. Here is the 1900
Fed.Census,For Dallas County,Oak Cliff.
Schuyler C. Reed,b.Sept.1867,Mississippi,Parents from MN.
Sofronia Reed,b.Feb.1873,Illinois,Parents from Illinois
Frederick H.Reed,b.March 1892,Indian Territory,Cherokee Nat
Ruth Paralee Reed,b.Feb.1893,Indian Territory,Cherokee Nat.
Flora Paris Reed,b.Jan.1897,Missouri
Bessie Reed,b.May 1899,Texas.

Ok here is the story. I originally got my Grandmothers S.S.
aplication and it said her Mother was Belle Easton and Father was Schuyler Reed. Well, I then got her brother application and it said the same. Now my Aunt,Flora's daughter, said that Katy Elizabeth Payne was her Grandmother but she wasn't certain when I said what Grandma had on her S.S.. Then I got Schuylers Death Cert., which
the informant was Ruth Paralee,my grandmother. The birth dates were same as 1900 census. He died 11-20-1937,Dallas.
She shows him to be from Tenn.
Now Katie Elizabeth Reed was his 2nd wife. She died 11-22-1933.inDallas Texas.
Now I don't know when Schuyler married Katie but we know from the 1900 census that Sofronia's last child was born in 1899 Texas and so it was after that.
All of the children were the children of Schuyler and Sofonia's.
Yes, I do believe that she would have been an Indian as
Once, I spoke with an elderly person who Sofronia was also his Grandmother and he said he thinks she was a big Indian lady. My grandmother and her Brother were dark and we had the Indian features.I am also thinking that maybe her maiden name was Something like Easton or?? Since they wrote Belle Easton. I was unable to read Sofrona's middle initial.
Now I am wondering if the Fed.Gov. moved them from place to place.I don't know where to go for a death date for a certificate.
