My father has all information leading up to this point. We would like to know if we have the correct names of Desire's parents and if we do, any information that procedes this. Parents of Desire, Michele G. Letourneau (owed money to chimmney sweeping. Born 1769 ) and Julie Jared. Michele and Julie Letourneau had (2) children, Desire born on 7/7/1844 in Quebec (we are not sure if this is a province or the city,) and Elmire born 1853. Questionable if he had two brothers by the name of Frank and Exavier. Michele and Julie migrated to U.S. between 1853-1856. The family settled in Bourbonnis, Illinois. Later moving to Chicago. Desire enlisted into Company D 76th Illinois Infantry voulenteers on 7/24/1862 left on 7/22/1865. Elmire married a man by the name of Trudeau. Desire married a woman by the name of Sophia Monty. Sophia was born in Montreal or LaPraire Canada 12/24/1843. They were married by Father Pardie on 10/9/1865 in St. George Illinois. Desire and Sophia had George 1/23/1866, Alfred 3/24/1868, Alexander Desire Sr. 2/7/1872, Frank 12/18/1876, William 4/1/1879, Sophie Nettie 10/20/1883, Walter 1/12/1874, Edward 1/25/1889. Son Of Desire, Alexander Desire Sr. married Delia Calahan and had 2 sons who were Alexander Dersire Jr 11/1/1905, Phillip 1911, and four daughters, Helen 1902, Cecil 1908 and Bernice 1907 and Evelyn 1903.
