This Doolin-Dalton Gang website says his name is:
Charles (Dynamite Dick) Clifton
http://www.gunslinger.com/doolin.html
and that he was killed:
Nov. 7, 1897

Perhaps obtaining a death certificate would provide you with more information.

There are several Charles Cliftons listed in the IL State Archives Marriage Database. One of them is in Vermilion County, (which I believe is the location you are looking for, according to your other posts):
http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/archives/databases.html

CLIFTON, CHARLES
married
RICE, HANNAH
County: VERMILION
Date: 08/13/1843
Volume, Page: A /98

Maybe obtaining the marriage license will give you parents names, witnesses names, church name, etc. where you can find more family records.
