I am trying to obtain confirmation on information that I have gathered (some speculation) on James C Davis.
First I have this marriage record of a James C "David" ... I believe that this should really be "Davis" ... the timing ties in with both the location where he lives and when his wife begins to have children.

DAVID, JAMES C SNYDER, MARY E MACON 10/18/1852
I believe they lived around Long Creek Twp. in Macon County.
Their children are as follows (taken from Macon Co., Ill Census's... dates are approximate):
M Logan 1853 (1860 census)(Mary's father's name)
F Frances 1854 (1860 Census) (Mary's Aunts name)
F Joanna 1856 (1860; 1870 Census)
F Charlott 1858 (1860; 1870; 1880 Census)
M Marion 1861 (1870; 1880 Census)
F Sarah 1863 (1870; 1880 Census)(James Mother's name??)
M Randal 1866 (1870; 1880 Census)
M Samuel 1868 (1870; 1880 Census)(Mary's brother's name)
M John 1871 (1880 Census)(Mary's Grandfather's name)
M Hugh 1874 (1880 Census) (Mary's Uncle's name)
James indicates that his father was born: Ky Mother: SC
in the 1880 census. His neighbors in the 1860 census are as follows:
Joseph Davis 63 M Ky
Sarah 62 F SC
Henry 24 M Ill
Louisa(?) 19 F Ill
This might be his parents and some of his siblings.
Does anyone know more about this family?
