Will and Della Tozier were thought to be siblings. They might have been the children of the first marriage of my grandfather Frank Tozier. Frank was the superintendent of the government locks at Kampsville and died there in April 1922. His first marriage was to Mary Jane Apperson, who died in 1895. (In 1897 Frank then married Margaret - or Maggie - Becker Cloninger and had three children, Roy, Bess and Joseph who was my father.)
It is even more likely they might have been children of one of the marriages of my great grandfather Joseph C. Tozier of Henry, IL. He first married Eliza Albee, then Emeline Albee. That would make them step brother and sister of Frank Tozier.
Those of us in the family who are now age 65 or above remember meeting both Will and Della when we were young. and visiting relatives in Kampsville. Will was in charge of the ferry boat that docked at Kampsville back then (in the 1940s and 50s).
Any help would be most appreciated. My email address is helmac@indy.net.
