And this at Ancestry.com's message board: did he die in KS??

Tricia Colcleasure Carothers

Subject: Nimrod K. York

Message: Nimrod K. York, born April 13, Murray Co., TN, first married Sarah C. Wallace and after Sarah passed away in 1877, Cherokee Co., KS, Nimrod married a woman named Eliza Colclasure. I believe that "Colclasure" was Eliza's married name and not her maiden name, that she had previously been married to a Colclasure. The 1880 Cherokee Co., KS Census Index shows a Charles Colclasure listed as Nimrods stepson. I'd like to have the information on what the actual census says if anyone has it. Thanks so much!
