That's a good point. I know that the Burtons are in Volume 1 of the Records of the First Methodist Episcopal Church for the years 1852-1900 in Aurora, but I can't afford to buy the book. They are also in Volume 2 (1897-1937) which is the one that a baptism would be listed in. She was born in 1908. I found a tidbit...in 1893-Batavia, Mrs. Ed Burton was in the quartet and Miss Annie Burton was the organist at the Episcopalian Church, so they were church goers and that is where I need to look. Thank you...I don't know why I didn't think of that. I do know one thing, though...the best way to teach history lessons in school would be to have the kids do their family ancestry. I have learned more this way than I ever did in school!!
