It seems that I have been confused by other family members. The error was Asblund. There is a relation to that family but it's not the one I am seeking. I have verified that my grandmother's maiden name was Spolander not Asblund. I have found what I think I am looking for here.

but that's where the trail ends. My grandmother's name was Hilda and she married a man named Hokans. They live in Waukegan, Lake county in from around 1900 until 1948 or so and did have a daughter named Elsa. Her other children were named Vivian, Harold, and Dorothy. I can't find any info about her marriage to Mr. Hokans or their residence or children. That's my road block.
