Thank you very much for the info. I did go to the death index and found Edward ...13 of them. I'm going with the only one that died in Kane Co. I am at a loss as to how to find anything on Bessie. Her adopted name was Burton, so I have no clue as to what her birth name was and her married name was Ellwood and is listed as such in the SS# index. I just need the info on these two to complete the first 5 generations of my immediate family and I need to get it done so that I can share this with my Dad and his brother before they leave this world. (Bessie was their mom) It is becoming arthritic for me, I have to finish before my mouse hand can't do it anymore.
