Kate,
Thank you so much for your help. Getrud Katshle's name was taken from a copy of a letter that was passed among family members. It has been transcribed into English from German. By pure chance I stumbled upon J.C. M. Hoting being a brother in law and still living in Chicago in the 1920 cencus with the family---who spell the name "Katschke". So who ever interpreted the German letter to English, perhaps read the letter "k" to be an "l" . I will go ahead and get the rest of the certificates now. Thanks alot!
Candice
