Looking for family of Thomas Morgan. Thomas and Nancy Morgan lived in Eliza Township. Trying to connect our line to them. Thomas bought land in Mercer County in 1835.
We have traced our line back to Abraham Morgan. His obituary states that he was born 15 Apr. 1822 in Butler County, OH. Moved with parents to IN in 1832 and to IL in 1834. Abe married Susan Chambers in Muscatine County, IA in 1842. Lived and raised their children in Linn and Benton counties in IA with the exception of 2nd son. James Sherwood Morgan was born 4 Jul. 1846 in Aledo, Mercer County, IL.
