I believe Craig Pfannkuche the corresponding sectretary of the McHenry Co, Illinois Genealogy Society, PO Box 184, Crystal Lake,
Illinois 60039-0184 did a paper on a Hanchett, I believe a officer in the Civil War, who left his family and went to the Civil War. He died at Andersonville, a prisoner of War, shot by the commander of the Prison at the end of the war. Maybe same one. Craig did alot of research on this one and gave a talk to the society.
