Larry, Thanks for looking for my McGUIRE family in Hartland
township, McHenry County cemetery.
I don't believe that Michael was
the father of my James Henry. But, it's Possible they were
brothers. My James was born 1836 New York. His brother,
John 1838 New York. This Michael was only 9 years older than
James. I know there were a lot of Irish in McHenry County.
I just wish their names were unique!
Both James and John McGUIRE married Foster sisters in WI.

James and Sarah Foster McGUIRE were living in Alden
Township, McHenry Co., in 1870. John's marriage application
listed his residence in 1861 as Huntland, McHenry Co., IL.
I believe Huntland was Hartland, just a typo.
I have heard that not much, except a church & cemetery, are
left in Hartland. Is that right?

Thank you, very much.
Kathy Hoeme
