Kathy,
before you go to the Big Foot Cemetery on Hwy 14 just north of Harvard, Illinois on Rt 14 go to the Public Library in Harvard, Illinois. They have a copy of The Cemetery Book for the McHenry County, Illinois Cemeteries, Volume 1, Northwest Twp, it includes more data then the cemetery stones, you can copy the pages for the Big Foot cem. It will make your search easier. They also have newspaper microfilms so you can find the obits for your ancestors.
Also look in the 1885 History of McHenry Co, it includes items on Nathaniel Smith, it is indexed.
Good hunting,
Larry Phalin
