There are no HYDE's in the 1840 McHenry County Census. The 1860 Census has Newton and his family:
HYDE, Newton; 40; M; Day Labor; $100; NY
Ann; 36; F; NY
Willis; 14; M; NY
Wilson; 12; M; NY
Fred; 10; M; NY
DeForrest; 1; M; IL
Since the older children were born in New York, I would suppose this family didn't move to IL until 1850 or later.
