Hi, I don't know if this will help you, or if it's even the right person, but it sounds like it. This is from the 1885 McHenry County History: Dr. Sherman Morse, b. 1821 Ostego Co. NY, , son of David and Hannah (Childs) Morse. Came to McHenry County in 1867, m. 18-- to Nettie S.Holden. Two children listed, Floyd S. and Anna Holden(looks like Holden is her middle name). Members of the Presbyterian church.Hope this helps!
