Sara,
the rev P.M. Huffman was the pastor of the one and only Church erected in Dunham twp, by the Methodists, it was built in 1845 it was known as the County Line
Church. It was located on Flatiron Road near the County Line on part of the Jules Stimes farm. there was agitation for a marker to be
placed where the church was, but never done.
Apparently the church doesn't exist anymore, the records may have gone to another Methodist Church.
I doubt if you would find death records at the county for 1855 and 1872. You can try.
In addition, when people changed their names in those days, there usually was no record of it. You can try.
When a parent died, usually a guardian would be appointed to represent them, even if the other parent was still living. You may find something in the Guardian records at the county.
